Mother as Mystic - Lori

Lori Woolf has been making art and mixing potions since she was a kid. She continues her happy alchemy practice in Portland, Oregon.

Mother as Artist & Creatress - Jewelz

Jewelz Ann Lovejoy was awarded to the Portland Art Institute on scholarship, and later passed on her acceptance, believing being an artist was not a valued profession. She learned to channel her creativity through hair artistry, designing and visioning styles to help people express and bridge their inner and outer self-image. She chose additional studies that modeled pathways of deep growth: Kundalini meditation, Reiki, American-Celtic Shamanism, Esthetic certification and licensing, and earth-based Goddess empowerment, creating ceremonies and a sisterhood of never ending circles.
Jewelz became a Djembe drumming leader and woman's Motocross racer for off-road dirt biking. She now calls all this life experience "Priestess Her'art Healing" and her mission is, "Opening to Authentic Beauty and Profound Self-love."

Mother as Healer - Krisiey

Krisiey Salsa is nourished by learning and loving. Her approach to change is mindful, compassionate, positive and patient. She is not afraid to dig deep inside herself or connect deeply to others. Krisiey finds herself nourished by the connections she makes with others, the lessons she learns through self-exploration and the change she can offer to the world through mindful living. She endeavors to be creative, daring, forthright, funny, feisty, graceful, passionate, and authentic. Her energy is derived from exploring her passions, like food, health, dancing and photography, and from challenging herself to expand her boundaries. Krisiey feels compelled to do more – to do good things for the world - to make this one beautiful life she has count.

Mother as Distiller - Sarah

Sarah Page lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, two children and two cats. She believes life can be distilled into one simple truth: Love is stronger than anything. She also thinks it's really important to acknowledge people and thanks her Sister Mothers in this project and beyond for their guidance.

Mother as Decomposer - Holly

Holly Hinson discovered her inner artist when she was pregnant with her twin girls. Bed-bound for four months, she started making origami balls and found a healing in her creations. She has since embraced herself as an artist and enjoys all forms of creating. Holly is thrilled to be able to combine her passions in her work as a chocolate maker. She also enjoys learning from her children and witnessing their boundless creativity and lust for life.

Mother as Midwife - Anna

Anna Kristina Soderberg is a magical mother of two incredible spirits and lives within the swirling universe in a place called Portland. She is a student midwife at Birthingway College of Midwifery and also is a lactation specialist. She writes poetry, sings songs and nurtures edible plants in her garden, where weeds wind all around.

Mother as Leader - Catherine

Catherine Gee gravitates to both right and left-brain ways of being and doing. She is a teacher and student of life. As a leader, facilitator and coach, she quietly listens, provides a calm and creative space for reflection, inspiring connection to Source and one’s Life Force. In creating a learning environment, she shares transformative practices for others to develop their own leadership presence. In this space, be inspired to connect with your own inner essence, wisdom, and vision. From this place, take action, raise your vibration and your voice!

Mother as Regenerator - Catherine

Catherine Dart has always been drawn to the arts—from her explorations as a child to her degree in Theatre to discovering oil painting in Santa Fe and stone carving in New York City. Throughout, she has found that all these mediums have deepened her understanding of herself and the surrounding world, helping her to draw from her inner questions and answers and manifest them in form. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of two children—two great works in and of themselves.

Mother as Priestess - Dana

Dana Gillem Klaebe has a degree in painting from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. For almost 30 years she has concentrated her creative efforts on painting and mixed media. Her work is primarily influenced by mythology, decorative arts and expressionists, as well as crows, ravens and magpies - all collectors of shiny, sparkly things. Her paintings are the result of a lengthy process of building surfaces, reducing those surfaces and recreating them over and over, until surface and meaning are revealed. Armed with a power sander and boxes of golden glitter and paint, each work reveals shimmering secrets of distant places and time.

Mother as Bestower & Beloved - Connie/Aquila

Connie Peters Gulick began her journey towards beauty at a young age when she first noticed a leaf imprint on the sidewalk. Her interest in designing and making things has led to adventures such as starting an art program at an inner city school, opening a flower shop, managing an Asian furniture showroom, and showing art pieces locally. Currently working in the field of natural health, she is also a student of Reiki. Participating in this project is an incredible opportunity to deepen her artistic expression and to expand as a person. Connie is truly a lover of Divine and the ways this relationship plays out with others as well as ourselves. She continues to find both marriage and the process of creating to be powerful initiations. In 2013, Connie took an additional name of Aquila. She and her husband, Rall Rexoris, wish to bless the world through their union.
