This morning I go online to look up images of women taking off their armor.

Up come pictures of women slipping off their underwear. Their sexy lingerie. Their bras and lace. What?!

I was finishing up a client's integration notes and looking for a picture. I always give reflection to women through words (spoken and written), and visuals. We each learn differently. And its vital for our integration and reclaiming of power, to have our inner medicine brought to life to support us making it REAL for ourselves... through several sensory pathways as we reconfigure our own sense of self.

And this armor thing... it's come up A LOT lately. With women. Learning how to take it off. In a way that's safe. Reliable. And accurate for our nervous systems and bodies.

This is something I've been reflecting on for what feels like decades. Being a sacred warrioress. It's HARD AS HELL to put down our fierce and ferocious inner ways we've safeguarded what's most tender, vulnerable and precious to us. In a world that's repeatedly shown it's not meant to be trusted.

And that's where the magic begins my dear.

We don't HAVE to trust the outer.
We don't HAVE to go against our bodies. Our intuition.
Our deep, sensate knowing.

We get to stabilize, build and nourish our trust with the INNER.
With what lives INSIDE US.
And radically honor that. As REAL.

It took me forever to find a picture of a woman taking off her armor this morning. An image that I felt offered the dignity and sincerity so necessary to reflect the harrowing work a woman does each time she peels back what's she's held intact, to safeguard and protect her. To let you sincerely see her indescribable power, beauty and pain.

We presume that a woman will always know best, how to be soft and tender. Gentle with herself and all life.

Yet... THIS is the exact thing that goes MOST unspoken.
This is the terrain we most fear. And haven't felt we even had a RIGHT to enter. And find our way through.
This is the landscape of a self-love and inner acceptance that goes beyond words, practices, principles and plans.
One built on the way PLEASURE, CARE and SOFTNESS course through us. As a vital sensate experience of life and creation.

Women are always the hardest on themselves. We've been ingrained by this.
And it pierces us to the bone.
It's death-defying.

In this time it's a radical act to see and hold each other as we slip off these hard-worn, rusty and jagged edges. Of an armor that was never built for us. It's been SOOOO heavy, awkward and unfit for our natural bodies. And souls.

Exhale. Softly.
You are safe within you.
To expose your true gorgeous innards.
To yourself.

Make your truth real.
